  1. Great post! Thank you for the insightful article. If you want to lose weight quickly, the easiest way is to eat green vegetables. Of course, all vegetables are good, but some are relatively better for weight loss-these are green vegetables. Green vegetables are nutritious: low in calories, rich in vitamins and minerals.

in my hair which can be around my house and they walkaround
and fly of it. They itch and sometimes I feel them bitch.
The thing that truly gets me is that, very well, you know
the method by which they enter in to your fabrics and some times turn into a string dangling out of the fabrics, nicely , they became my own hair.

It enjoys germs in my hair!? Assist!? Check our post on Hair Loss

  3. Chrissy Metz is still obese. She is disgustingly obese. 100 lbs and she still looks obese. Nothing attractive about it. I can’t believe that people are falling for this, an excuse to be obese. She has none! Healthier eating and exercise. She is the most horrible role model I have ever seen and can’t believe she is on TV. She is not a role model everyone is trying to shove down Americans throats it’s ok to be obese. It is not! You will die young! Too many health problems, diabetes, liver, back problems they all make you immobile. I can’t believe that NBC has not put a stipulation into her contract! Lose more weight and be healthy!

    • I agree with you. I have a hard time looking at her no matter how many pretty outfits she wears. I was an obese child, and with my glutenous ways then, I could easily be another Christy today. I am 69 years old and have always had to watch my weight and what I eat all my life. I started my weight loss journey in high school because no boy would look at a fat girl. I was told that I had a pretty face but was too fat. From the age of 14 to 17, I lost enough weight to look like a normal person, and for the most part I managed to keep it off till nursing school where I gained 20lbs back the first month. By the time I graduated 3 years later, I had lost my weight and was down to a size 6. Through the years with 4 pregnancies, I gained but always managed to get back down by eating reasonably. I hate what I loved but everything in moderation. After 40, I was a size 6-8 and was happy with myself and was healthy. Then when I was 59, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and the combination of steroids with my chemo put on 20 lbs, and 10 years later I have been unable to lose it. I am not happy with the weight, but currently at age 69, I guess I look ok at 150 lbs. I am unable to get any real exercise due to neuropathy in my legs and feet, due to chemo and a stroke 4 years ago. I still eat reasonably, and hope maybe someday I will shed a few pounds.

    • Laila, although people may find your words harsh, they are true. I am so over the media shoving down our throats that fat is beautiful. It is not!! It is seriously unhealthy and the cause of so many illnesses. Being fat has nothing to do with being beautiful on the inside, it has to do with your health and living a longer life. Everyone should stop making excuses and start getting healthy.

    • What makes you an authority on what is attractive or who is a role model? This talented woman is on TV, not you. To you she may not be anything attractive on the outside but I guarantee you her inside is 10,000 times the person that you are.

      Reply
    • Laila, the bible says judge not least you be judged. Are you really so perfect that you can afford to put someone down who is trying to get healthier. She has made great progress and should be celebrated for it. Nothing is achieved by making someone feel bad about themselves. I hope that you get help with what ever emotional problems you have that cause you to lash out at other’s faults, because your behavior is what is disgusting. You should take a hard look at yourself and hope that the good Lord has mercy on you when your judgment day comes. Good luck!

    • I agree with most of what you wrote, but not all. I do think her weight made me uncomfortable watching my favorite show “This Is Us”, however she is a beautiful actress and for her health going forward, she would be healthier to loose the extra pounds. Her weight takes away from her talent. I am not a super thin woman. 5’1″. 83 years old and I weigh 127 lbs, I do have to watch my eating habits and as a sweets lover it is hard, but I want to live to be 100 and be able to move around..

  4. That’s the problem with people who are so shallow that they judge someone they don’t even know personally and deem them to be horrible based only on their weight. For someone who may not have ever battled being overweight, maybe one day you will see just how frustrating it can be. Being overweight is a medical condition and finally the medical community realizes that and is trying to remove the sigma and help those that battle obesity. Maybe you should take a little time and read up on the struggles overweight people deal with on a daily basis and come off your high horse and be a little more understanding. 100 pound weight loss is a great achievement…I’m sure she realizes she has a long journey but people like you have to make that journey challenging…Rude remarks just are not needed…

    • You and Laila speak the truth. Obesity shouldn’t be praised and appalled. It has nothing to do with hurt feelings or emotions, it’s the facts! She’s too young to be that heavy and however she choses to deal with it is her business. But don’t confuse the truth of the medical problems associated with this level of obesity with the bruising of feelings because you like this actress and her music. Thank you Rose and Laila for responding to the real issue here.

    • You expressed it very eloquently. I would think that she would want to consult with a gastric bypass surgeon for “health reasons,” if she hopes to live a long and fulfilling life. My mom was obese and had the surgery. It was a life changer for her and I can attest to that. Perhaps after this final season of “This is Us,” Chrissy will consider that and have the freedom to do it. I agree with the gal above that doing nothing about a health issue like this is disgusting. Some may even view it as lazy. Like I said, perhaps her commitment to her role in the show is preventing her from taking aggressive action to improve her health. Let’s all just chill and see what happens after the show ends. Best of health to everyone!

      Reply
      • I would say an 80 pound weight loss in 5 months IS pretty aggressive action. Hopefully she just keeps going until she reaches a healthy weight. I don’t think bagging someone who is obviously making serious attempts to change, and has been successful thus far is AT ALL helpful.

        Reply
    • Seriously Rose, you are also misinformed about obesity. You are that small minded and ignorant to say you cannot look at her because of her weight. Why are you grieving for her. She seems to be happy and healthy despite her size. As a physician I can assure you that not all overweight patients are unhealthy and manage to outlive many with lower BMI. Actually, BMI is kind of outdated and you cannot depend on this alone to say if someone has an unhealthy weight. Laila was very rude in her comment and I can assure you very misguided as I see you are. I have many patients who are thin and very unhealthy and would not even be able to exercise 10 minutes a day. She can and she does exercise every day and she has no known medical condition except for anxiety. Weight alone no matter the size will not determine your lifespan.

  11. You know that is what is wrong with this world and society. Everyone being judged for this and that, making us feel like we are not worthy. You are too fat! You live in a shabby house! You look ugly! All these unnecessary accusations and cruel words are what makes people feel down. Try lifting a persons spirit up, giving them confidence not cruelty. If you have ever struggled in life with anything, sit back and look in the mirror and if someone judged you, it hurt didn’t it? Just image how you are hurting someone else struggling and being called names and told you are not worthy. Well news for you? We are all worthy. But those who call names and judge others, you are still worthy, but not liked for your harsh and cruel words. You wonder why people turn to food, or drugs or alcohol or suicide. Because those who get tormented because they don’t look like everyone else, whether skinny or a beauty queen or muscle man. Not anyone of us has to look like everyone else. We all have our own uniqueness. Sure the weight or the drinking or the drugs or whatever it may be, is not healthy, but you know what, we all have to live our own lives the way we see fit. But having compassion and love for one another and not judgmental ways, and encouraging those who need our help and compassion to get thru tough times, is what this world needs. This world is struggling with all sorts of things and we need to pull together and support one another. Stop pounding into peoples heads that they are not worthy to be here. Because we all deserve to be here and are worthy of that. Our America is falling apart at the seams, and we all need to pull together to fix that seam before all hell breaks loose. I am no expert, but I do understand the struggles people go through. And quite frankly I am tired of struggling myself, let alone seeing others struggle too, and I am disgusted in seeing the bullying going on in every situation.= out there. Chrissie Metz, do not let the negativity destroy what you are trying to accomplish on your own time. Don’t let the harsh words put a thorn in your foot (a cliché) to make you feel bad. Because you are worthy as much as anyone else on this earth. And I will say there is no such thing as perfection. And those who think they are perfect, they need to look in a mirror before judging anyone. God bless you and really love you on This is Us. Can’t wait till more seasons come on. Take Care..

Life is easier at a lower weight i.e. stairs, fitting in airline seats, movie theatre seats, a friend’s house you’ve never been to, hoping they will have a chair you fit in. It’s hard but well worth your weight loss efforts.

  13. The photos and descriptions of Metz’ weight loss “journey” are completely deceiving. I quick search through YouTube for some recent footage from late 2021 or early 2022 shows that she has really not lost any weight. She DID lose a lot, but has gained it all back and more.

As for the harsh commentary about her, I agree it’s rude. I really like “This is Us” and she did a terrific job in her role there. But what is not rude is the harsh and sad reality that she has not gotten her weight under control, and she is not going to live long like this. Whatever her weight loss program was, it is not successful (or she is no longer following it).

I am personally sick of seeing articles saying she has lost so much weight when in reality she has gained so much more. Maybe when she has a heart attack or stroke she will seek medical and psychological help. I will pray for her. I’m not trying to be judgemental or mean, I’m simply being honest.

Personally, I don’t watch her show, despite liking the concept and the other actors, because her size is appalling and rather disgusting.
