Kelly didn’t sing that day because she said she had a cold or something,” one fan wrote in an Instagram comment on the show’s post.
I thought she was just trying to get well! Another said, “I’m praying he’s okay, sending him lots of well wishes and prayers.”
That’s not the only thing that’s come out about Kelly’s health in recent months in a May episode of her show, Kelly revealed she used a weight-loss drug to lose 27 kilograms, or 60 pounds.

Did Kelly Clarkson use Ozempic?
Kelly says she did not use Ozempic for weight loss. During a May episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the singer talked to her guest, Whoopi Goldberg about her weight loss.

After Whoopi told her about taking Monjaro (a medication that lowers blood sugar, with effects similar to Ozempic), Kelly opened up about her own experience taking the weight-loss drug.
Kelly shared that she’s lost ‘a lot’ of weight, saying, ‘Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too because my blood work got so bad.’ She added that she did not take Ozempic.
Kelly did not name the medication, but said it was ‘something that helps break down sugar – my body doesn’t do it correctly.’
Kelly said her doctor ‘pursued her for about two years’ to get her on the medication, But she was nervous about the effects it would have on her thyroid.
But eventually, she decided to take it after she saw a birthday special he planned to release. ‘All of a sudden, I paused it, and I started thinking, “Who is this?”‘ Kelly said.
You look at it and think, “Okay, she’s going to die of a heart attack.”Whoopi, for her part, said she’s lost the weight of ‘almost two people’ after ‘doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help.’
‘It’s great for people like us who have issues,’ the View co-host added. She previously revealed she’s taking Mounjaro for weight loss.

In December 2023, Kelly first hinted at her weight loss on her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. At the time, she revealed that she no longer wears Spanx, as reported in Life & Style.

It’s so cold in this building. I don’t even have to wear Spanx anymore. I just wear them for warmth, like thermals,” Kelly said during a singing game.
But on January 29, Kelly revealed on her show that she was doing “something” about her weight after a pre-diabetic diagnosis a few years ago.
(Pre-diabetes means your blood sugar levels are “higher than normal,” but not high enough for a type 2 diabetes diagnosis, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.) ‘I wasn’t shocked,’ she said. ‘I was a tiny bit overweight.

How did Kelly Clarkson Lose Weight?
Kelly’s weight loss journey began with a cross-country move from Los Angeles to New York” I was very unhappy in L.A. and had been unhappy for many years. I needed a fresh start,” Kelly told People earlier this year.
‘I don’t want to sound ungrateful, I just couldn’t stay here for my mental health; for mine and my kids’,’ she told NBC in January.
He wasn’t in good health either. “For the last few years, I’ve just been coming out, smiling and doing what I have to do, but you can only tear yourself apart so much until you break down.
‘But Kelly said she felt ‘good’ going into the fifth season of her show. ‘I know my kids are feeling good, and the dust has settled.
The fifth season is my first season in which I truly enjoyed every minute of it.’
After moving to the Big Apple, Kelly had to walk a lot more. Relocating to New York City eventually helped Kelly get her body moving and lose weight.
She added, “We walk the dogs in the park a lot. We go get ice cream because my daughter tires me out.
We go make slime and we go to museums.” Kelly also added, “Walking around the city is a lot of exercise.”
But that’s not all she did. Kelly also began making changes to her diet and health habits, which helped her, lead a healthier lifestyle after her pre-diabetic diagnosis.
Kelly has also changed her diet and is focusing on eating lots of protein
‘I eat a healthy mix,’ she told People. ‘I lost weight because I was listening to my doctor, something I didn’t do for years. And 90% of the time, I’m really good at it because protein foods are good for me anyway.
I’m a Texas girl, so I love meat — sorry, vegetarians of the world!” As Kelly explained, her diet is a “healthy mix,” meaning she still leaves room for the things she enjoys eating.
