5 Ways Regular Exercise Can Improve Your Sex Life

If you’ve found that your sex life isn’t quite as good as it used to be, you’ve likely looked up how to fix it online. The problem with doing this, however, is that all the answers are mixed. 

Just as sex is a personal thing, so too are the answers to improve it. Really, it all comes down to you as a couple and what the specific problems are.

Having said that, there is one way to improve your sex life that is universally accepted: exercise.

It’s true that regular exercise not only advances your fitness but can also improve your performance between the sheets and get your sex life back on track. With this in mind, here are five ways in which exercise can solve sexually-related problems.

Improving Blood Circulation

It’s important, however, to couple pharmaceuticals like this with exercise that will keep your blood circulation strong throughout the day. This can be done with a run or even a simple walk once a day.

Reducing Stress

For people who are suffering from depression or anxiety, exercise has proven to be a great tool for boosting feel-good endorphins and lowering stress levels. 

This is very important when it comes to sex, as mental health is one of the leading causes behind low libido and performance anxiety. Exercise, then, can help to lower the hormone cortisol that is decreasing your sex drive, and switch it the other way around.

Increasing Your Fitness

On a more simple note, doing more exercise increases your fitness, which is important if you want to stay active in bed! A lot of the time, a couple’s sexual relationship will suffer because there is not enough time spent on the sheets and a lack of frequency in intimate activities – because the energy can’t be mustered for long enough!

Lastly, if you exercise often, then you’re going to start feeling and looking fitter. This is hugely important when it comes to your sex life, as self-confidence can make you feel more attractive, sexy, and keen to show off your body to your partner! You don’t have to look like a bodybuilder. 

All you need to do is engage in regular exercise, and you will start to notice a difference both in your looks and your self-esteem. And that can be enough to give your sex life the boost it needs!
