The right mattress is going to support the weight of your body but also allow your joints to sink into the mattress. This means your spine will stay aligned so there is less chance of any back issues. 

3 – Sleep on your side

One of the worst positions to sleep in when you have back pain is on your back. This is because your back will be curved at the lumbar region and cause a strain on the muscles, nerves, and circulation. 

The best way to sleep is on your side so that your spine has a chance to stay aligned and there will be less pressure on the discs. In addition to sleeping on your side, you should also place a pillow between your legs. This will open up the hips and keep your spine from curving at all so you can sleep pain-free.
